What’s this coffee like?
Kenyan Blue Mountain coffees are among the world’s best. Grown on the high plateau of Mount Elgon, this results in a coffee with intense flavour, full body and a pleasant aroma with notes of cocoa. An ideal all-day drinking coffee, with full-bodied richness and a striking winey aftertaste.

How should I brew it?
This bean lends itself particularly to cafetière (brew for 3 - 4 minutes) & filter preparation. However, any bean can be brewed in any way if ground correctly, so have fun experimenting!
How do I keep it fresh?
After opening, any bags of coffee are best kept frozen. Store them in an airtight plastic box, not loose in the freezer. The ground coffee remains as granules and does not need to be defrosted before you use it. It’s easy just to scoop out what you need and replace the rest in the freezer to maintain maximum freshness (up to 12 months, though we don’t think it will last that long!). Beans may be frozen too, but it’s recommended to defrost these before putting them in a domestic grinder.
If freezing is not an option, any coffee should be stored in an airtight container and kept somewhere cool, dark and dry.
